Each applicant for citizenship of Grenada undergoes stringent due diligence checks. He or she also needs to be in good health. Besides, an extensive document package has to be submitted in the process of applying for citizenship of the country.

Neither the main applicant nor his or her dependents have to visit Grenada prior, nor during, nor after the application for citizenship.   • Negative HIZ test results not more than 3 months old for the main applicant and all dependents over 11 years of age.
  • A notarized and apostilled color copy of the foreign passport (all pages) with notarized translations. This requirement holds for all applicant family members who have foreign passports.
  • A notarized and apostilled copy of the first three and the last three pages of the domestic passport and its notarized translation if necessary. This requirement applies to all family members who hold domestic passports.
  • If the applicant has dual citizenship, he or she has to supply a notarized and apostilled copy of the passport of the country of the second citizenship. This requirement applies to all applicant family members who have dual citizenship.
  • 20 photographs 3.5 х 4.5 centimeters in size per each applicant. The reverse of 1 photograph has to be legalized by a notary or a lawyer.
  • A notarized and apostilled copy of the military service card and its translation.
  • A notarized and apostilled copy of the birth certificate and its notarized translation if necessary. This requirement applies to all applicant family members.
  • The original of a clean criminal record from every country that the applicant is a citizen of, and every country that he or she has resided in for over 1 year during the last ten years, with a notarized and apostilled translation. This requirement applies to all family members who are over 16 years of age.
  • The original of the Letter of Recommendation from the bank that the main applicant has been serviced at for more than two years.
  • A bank statement for the last 12 months for the main applicant.
  • The original of a professional recommendation from the applicant’s employer. If the applicant is self-employed, a letter of recommendation from a business partner, a lawyer, or an auditor.
  • A utility bill indicating the name and the address of the main applicant to serve as proof of address.
  • A notarized and apostilled copy of the marriage or divorce certificate with an apostilled translation. Applies to the main applicant only.
  • Legalized color copies of national ID’s (such as a driver’s license, for instance) for the main applicant and his/ her dependents.
  • If the applicant has changed his/ her personal name (excluding the change of name after marriage), a notarized document is required that certifies this fact.
  • If the applicant owns a business company and this company is the source of his/ her capital required to obtain Grenada citizenship, the company registration documents are required.
  • A notarized and apostilled color copy of the educational certificate with an apostilled translation. This requirement applies to all family members who hold such certificates.
  • A completed application form for the issuance of Grenada passport.
  • Résumés for the main applicant and the spouse.
What can be the reasons for the rejection of the application for Grenada citizenship by investment?

If the applicant has a criminal conviction or a spoiled reputation, the Government of Grenada can reject the application for citizenship. If the applicant fails to pass the due diligence procedures, his/ her application can also be rejected. The rejection can also explained by national security concerns or by the discovery of the fact that the applicant has provided false information in the application documents. If the applicant has been denied a visa to one of the countries with which Grenada has visa-free arrangements, he/ she will not be able to obtain Grenada citizenship. When this visa is obtained by the applicant, this limitation can be lifted.

Can Grenada citizenship be revoked?
