Seychelles, or more officially the Republic of Seychelles is a country located in the Indian Ocean consisting of 115 islands. It has a joint British and French heritage, and tourism and international financial services are the mainstays of its economy today.
From the 1980s until 2015, Seychelles was famous for registering thousands of basic offshore companies or IBCs, competing mainly on price. Seychelles IBCs are especially popular in Russia and Asian markets, probably due to the convenience of the Seychelles time zone.
These days, Seychelles unfortunately remains on the EU tax blacklist.
